QFaC at the TQG 2016 Quilt Fiesta!

Quilt For a Cause will have a booth at the upcoming Tucson Quilters Guild quilt show, “2017 Quilt Fiesta!” February 17, 18 and 19.  The show features about 300 quilts made by Guild members demonstrating the beauty and skill represented by quiltmaking.  It is a marvelous way to spend a few hours of a February weekend. The Quilt Show is at the Tucson Convention Center, please follow the Tucson Quilters Guild link for more information about the show. Come, see, and enjoy.

While you are there, be sure to stop by the Quilt For a Cause booth.  Original patterns developed by Board members and Friends of QFaC will be available for sale at $10.00 each.  Samples of each pattern adorn the booth giving quilters ideas of the various looks each pattern can create.  There’s Arizona Sunset, Scraphunter’s Star, Twist ‘n Shout, Peppermint Breeze and a whole host of others.  QFaC Board members and friends will be staffing the booth and be available to discuss creative ideas with you.

Additionally, we are offering boutique items including quilted handbags and tote bags, coasters and placemats, small ornaments and other delightful small items.  Come enjoy the Fiesta; take a look and help support Quilt For a Cause, Inc.  We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit and money raised is used to help area institutions fight breast and gynecologic cancers.

Several Board members were excited to attend the Grand Opening of the Joel M. Childers, M.D., Women’s Center at Tucson Medical Center on January 12, 2017.   Over the years, Quilt For a Cause has donated a major portion of the funds raised through quilt and pattern sales to Tucson Medical Center.  TMC has partnered with Quilt For a Cause providing space for all five major auctions that QFaC has presented since 2003.  Congratulations on the opening of this well-equipped and beautiful facility that will serve many area women.
