Tucson Tapestry quilt pattern by J. Michelle Watts

“Tucson Tapestry” was designed by J. Michelle Watts exclusively for Quilt for a Cause. Michelle was inspired by a Navajo weaving from the 1920’s. The original weaving was in earthy browns, tans and rust. Michelle decided to make a quilt using red, turquoise, gold and a dark brown.

Instructions are given for a 41” x 47” and 82” x 94” wall hanging using the rotary cutting method. Although Michelle designed it as a wall hanging, borders can be placed on it to make the perfect quilt.

Price: $12, which includes shipping and handling.

Pattern also sold at: Quilters Desert Patch (Sahuarita, AZ).

All proceeds from the pattern sales go to Quilt for a Cause, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization which uses the art and business of quilting to pursue advances in breast and/ or gynecological cancers by raising funds for research, by continuing the education of medical professionals, and by supporting clinical organizations that raise awareness, offer detection and provide treatment for all women.
